Great guide and all the staff were friendly, fun knowledge moments about jungle plants, Mayan culture and cenotes. The trip lasted about two hours and you get some great time riding. The cenote had changing rooms and was very refreshing, and the ranch labradore joined us for a dip too! We bought two photos for $20 each as this money goes to looking after the horses and the quality was great, you got to choose which photos you liked and they were emailed…”

“The driver picked us right up from our hotel, even though it was quite a long drive to the ranch. Everybody was very friendly, the horses were well behaved, and the ride was beautiful. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We even saw whales while riding on the beach. I did not read far enough down and realize there was a $25 fee on top of the cost to get into the park where we rode. Just be aware of that and take cash if possible.”

“What a privilege to be welcomed to Tomas's family ranch! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The horseback riding trip was one of the best we've been on with a chance to gallop and race through the winding high desert canyon, it was much more enjoyable than the typical loop tour, it felt like we were in a old western movie! Tomas did a great job of capturing the moments in video and photos while riding his own horse. The traditional ranch lunch was delicious and we enjoyed learning about the family history and the challenges of running a ranch in this remote landscape. We highly recommend this experience but…”

Guides such as Raul, Arturo, Flash, and Jose add fun, but expect group pacing, photo sales, and extra charges.

“It is a really cool tour but you are not allowed to bring your phone to take any pictures during the trip because they have their own photographer and the offer is over 40 Dollar per person for the photopackage which feels like a total rip off. Also EVERYONE is asking for tips and extra money, which is really not ok, since the package should cover all the services. Insurance package comes extra, sodas come extra for the lunch etc. Etc. We were still happy that we did it but it could be better organized. Shout-out to our driver Nachiin Alvarez, he was incredibly nice and gave us great recommendations…”
