1.Wānaka And Hāwea: Trail Ride on Bike or E-Bike

★★★★★★★★★★4.9 · 161 reviews · 3 - 4 hours · from $80Our pick

Take a self-guided 30 km ride from Lake Hāwea to Wānaka, following the Hāwea and Clutha rivers. Your host, often James, Tristan, or Melissa, handles the shuttle, bike setup, and route briefing. Choose a regular bike or e-bike, with coffee and pastries at Albert Town along the way.

“Guys, just take this tour. It is epic. Beautiful, charming, scenery, great experience for families and couples. The highlight of this of course is the tour operator, of course. Such lovely, nice people I made a mistake in the trip - I lost the helmet midway - Left it somewhere. James immediately came down, gave me a replacement, and went back to retrieve it (Technically it was my job to retrieve it, but he was so kind and helpful - he went beyond his duty and helped me out). Melissa, his colleague was also kind, nice, helpful, and made this experience memorable for us 100% recommend.”

★★★★★★★★★★4.4 · 42 reviews · 2h 30m · from $64Best value

Join a small group of up to six for a 2.5-hour e-bike safari from Aigues Mortes. Guide Hugo may lead you through vineyards, marshes, and canals, with stops for Camargue horses, bulls, birds, plants, and local traditions. Bikes and helmets are provided.

“It was nice mostly because of the weather and the scenery. Hugo, our guide, is a very nice guy. But the bikes were too big for my partner and I, we would have appreciated options, that made the trip not uncomfortable. Provided informations regarding dates about buildings etc. we're too approximate, we would have appreciated more specific knowledge, at least that what I'd expect from a guided tour, it can't be loose about history. So overall, it is a bit too expensive for what it is.”
